Our conversations turn to war, a sharp and painful sound,
Unleashing unavoidable unrest, universally profound.
Clinging stubbornly to points, crushing all the love we have.
Hanging heavy, hurtful words, a relationship we thrash.
This constant discord leaves us spent, a hollow, silent ache.
Holding onto what we lost, for memory’s dear sake.
Inside, the silence starts to grow, a heavy, somber fear,
So much of what we held so close, now seems to disappear.
How can we break this bitter cycle, find a better way?
Upon reflection, understanding dawns, a brighter, hopeful day.
Reaching out with softer voices, letting down our hardened guard,
Together mending broken trust, and healing what was marred.
Suddenly, the quiet courage to forgive brings sweet release
Hey everyone, I’m Ryan. I once focused exclusively on fiction, but a long break put my writing on hold. Picking up my pen again was sparked by a course that truly motivated me to look deeply within myself and redefine my voice. I am now actively experimenting with new ideas and forms, dedicated to the challenge of evolving my technique and seeing what new stories I can uncover.
