As the Sun is Swallowed

by Vanessa Nina

As the sun is swallowed

By the king’s moondrunk mouth,

I speak to the emptiness

As its servant.

As the sun is swallowed,

I picture it as a gentle taking

Without breaking into.

And I linger, but as perhaps a tree,

Watching from the world’s edge,

Praying she’ll return to me.

  1. Hmm it seems like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll
just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing.
Do you have any suggestions for first-time blog
    writers? I’d really appreciate it.
